Sunday

This piece is a scene inspired by Stephen Sondheim’s musical Sunday in the Park with George. Specifically, It’s about the modern George’s wife, Elaine, going to his grave on a Sunday. Step by step, she realizes how much she actually loved him. Every detail of the scene was created by myself — music, lyrics, orchestration, script, lighting, set. The piece is written for a female voice and a 17-piece chamber orchestra.
